March Means One Thing And One Thing Only: The Minnesota State High School Hockey Tournament Is Almost Here
DISCLAIMER: I know this is typically Pres’ thing but the All Hockey Hair Team needs an enforcer to take over the reigns and that’s what I’m here to do. If he wants to blog the 2017 video whenever it comes out, then we’ll make some arrangements. But we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.
Here it is, ladies and gents. It’s the most wonderful time of the year outside of the start of the NHL season, the World Juniors, the start of the NHL Playoffs, the Stanley Cup Final, and July 1st Free Agent Frenzy. It’s easier to just say the most wonderful time of the year, however, without all those stipulations. Because in just about a week from today, the 2016-17 Minnesota State High School Hockey Tournament will be underway. From March 8th to the 11th, some of the premier danglers in all of the nation will be putting their mitts and their flow on the line for high school supremacy.
Now obviously the biggest draw to the tournament is the All Hockey Hair Team video. And for good reason. Year after year, it’s one of the greatest videos on the internet. Usually something like that would grow stale after a few years but the hockey hair team never disappoints. But it’s also given us memorable moments such as this one, and everything like that.
The lead up to the tournament has given us absolute filth like this.
We’ve had senseless water bottle murders.
And this year, you can expect to see plenty of this out of Eden Prairie’s Casey Mittelstadt in this year’s tournament.
You can also expect to hear this kid’s name being one of the first 5 called in June at the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.
So yeah. Next week is the week. The 2016-17 Minnesota State High School Hockey Tournament. About to be an absolute Sauce Fest out there. Prepare accordingly.
